‘INKBLOTS: Series 2’ share the original principles of ‘Series 1’; it broaches mental health and social concerns, and aims to encourage interaction between art and its audience. Series 2 develops these concepts, taking them deeper and challenging both artist and viewer further. Price includes much more of herself into each piece and, as such, the work is casting larger shadows.
‘Lennie Small’ A 16 x 15 foot patchwork made up of 90 prints. Each patch is a monoprint of a toy vehicle, from minis and sports cars to lorries and buses; some of which are worked into with beadwork and lino cuts. The symbol a car has become in contemporary society is numerous and shockingly varied: From suicide bombings, competition for oil, freedom, to BMW replacing the crucifix in western culture.
